6/12/08: Now's the Time 4 Crew 2 Makeup Ground
Good News in the NL Central. Cubbies Leadoff OF Soriano is out for about a month & 1/2. While Cards Super 1B is Strained for a few Weeks. Look for Ned Yost to keep the 'Shuffled' Order of moving Hart up to Leadoff while moving Mike Cameron down in the Order. Our Starting Pitching is coming together & now's the time to make our Move in the Division. I'll Predict the Cubbie Lead gets Cut in 1/2 by July 1st. Currently, we're 7 1/2 Out. We'll be w/in 4 Games @ the end of June. Plus, Weeks will Return in a Week & Gagne will Assist in the Bullpen. Torres has done nothing to 'lose' the Closers Role. Keep him there & Eric can Fill-In elsewhere! Go Crew!
4/17/08: Fielders' 1st 'Jack' & '08 Milwaukee Brewers
As always, Opening Day @ Miller Park is about the Coolest thing in the World! Always helps to have a big Win as well. Had a blast Hosting the ShortBus w/ Miller Lite & Wisconsin Sausage Company. Gotta thank my Homeboy, Kudr, for Grillin' all 94 Angus Beef Brats, even if he is a Closet Cubs Fan! Some great Pics at myspace. 9-6 is currently good for 2nd in the NL Central. St. Louis surprisingly is at the Top. Still sticking to Goal of .500 on the Road. We all know the Boys will take care of Biz @ Home. Remember last year? & Big Princes 1st CAREER HomeRun? I'm thinkin' 89-73 this Year. Good enough to Win the Central, I'm not sure. But anything less than the WildCard is unacceptable!

Checkout the Tribute to the 3X MVP. Mama said there'd be days like this. We'll You can't say we weren't prepared. He's been talking about it for a few years. But I encourage You to Celebrate today. Those Memories will last a Lifetime. & there will never be another one like the 'Missississippi Missile' from Kiln, MS. He's been thru Good & Bad just like You & Me. Wife's Breast Cancer, Mom's Home being hit by Hurricane Katrina, the Death of his Brother, & his battles w/ Drugs & Alcohol. & so very Genuine. His Passion will go on forever. Oh Yeah, & he got us back to the Super Bowl. Not once but twice...& almost a 3rd time. So when You think of Crying & Frowning today...Think about the Packer Teams I grew-up w/ in the 70's & 80's. No that should bring Tears to your Eyes! So, I'll leave You w/ 1 Question. How will YOU remember Brett Favre??? Preliminary Blog: 2/5/08: Post-Packer Depression
OK, it's been a couple Weeks now. & my Packer Friends some of You are STILL Bitter. There comes a time when YOu just gotta let it Go. The Giants beat Us. Dont let it Salten...is that a Word???...an Exceptional Season. I got called a Homer, & I only Predicted Us to go 10-6. To be 1 of the Youngest Clubs in the League & to get to the NFC Championship Game is Unbelievable. & the best part is w/ our Youth we'll get there again...SOON. Those who believed the nonsense of Ted Thompson not having a Clue & Mike McCarthy not being able to lead a Team have long been buried. Now it's time to Evaluate Talent & see what Rookies could make our Upper Echelon Group. I've got a few in Mind. Mostly, Offensive Guys right now as I've just begun to Analyze the Defensive Side of the Ball. However, it didnt take a Plexico Burress-sized Smoking to learn we need to Upgrade our Talent @ CB. Dont get Me wrong, Woodson & Al Harris are perfect for our Scheme. Physical Guys that are tough to knock off the Line of Scrimmage. But they're on the wrong side of 30 & we need some Fresh Meat to develop back there. Nobody that's gotta Start right away, but that can give Us Quality Snaps in the Nickel & Dime as a Rook. & grow to be Starters 2 or 3 years down the Road. I'll go into the Draft & Packer Needs as we get closer to Draft Day in April. Until then, Tip your Hat to the New York Giants. They certainly earned their RIng. Punked & Punched those Patriots - & meaningless CowGirls - right in the Mouth. Look on the bright side...Nowadays at least we have something Positive to look forward to w/ Spring Training right around the Corner. Playoffs will become a Reality in '08 for the Brew Crew..
