Well Chello My Little Sinners.....I'M BACK FROM SIN CITY!!!  What an amazing place that is....never a dull moment.  I swear I'm still hearing slot machines and seeing the blazing lights!!!  So let's get right to the good stuff, the Jonathan Davis Show!

I'm not sure what I was really expecting walking into this...I've been a fan of KoRn since 94...(God I just aged myself BIG TIME) and have seen them live countless times.  They put on one of the best stage shows you are ever going to see.  Their energy and showmanship comes from their years of playing together and making music that the young and old can relate too!  I mean, honestly, when you hear that chunky bass, tell me your heart doesn't race just a little bit faster!

So we walked into the House Of  Blues in Vegas and went backstage.  We met up with our good friends in Godhead.  Glen is still on crutches, he said his cast was going to be coming off this week, whether the doctor agrees with this or not is yet to be seen:)  But they say HI to all in Madison and said that playing that small unplugged show in the Comedy Club set the tone for the whole tour and they have been having an absolute BLAST!

Then we met up with Jonathan Davis, he is such a quiet man.  You see him on stage and his presence is SO big that you would asume that he is this larger than life dude....He's not.  He is a polite, soft spoken person who is very kind to his fans.  You expect him to run up to you and scream in your face, in truth you have a hard time hearing anything he says to you.  I've done several meet and greets with him and each time is always a treat!

Ok, now for the show details!  Godhead came out and just blazed through their set.  Having fun talking to the crowd.  They opened with "Trapped in your lies" and then continued to rip through their set, they played their "Mandatory Cover" as Jason calls it...

Then Jonathan Davis's, violin player came out and did a short set, in which he sang.  Still a little confused about what it was all about.  It was very different, let's just leave it at that!

Now for the headliner....let me set up the stage for you.  There was a chelo player, sampler, violin player, drummer, keyboard player, guitar player (all dressed in suits) and smack dab in the center was this big throne and out walks Jonathan Davis in a pin stripe suit.  I had a moment!  He started out with 3 songs from the "Queen of the Dammed" Soundtrack.  If you don't kow the story behind it, here is the quick version. Jonathan Davis wrote the music and lyrics for the movie, and performed them in the movie, hell he even makes a camio in the movie, but when it came time for the soundtrack to be released, there was some "red tape" and he could not perform the songs for the soundtrack.  So he brought in the likes of Marilyn Manson, David Draiman, Chester Bennington and many more to help out....It is one of my favorite albums to date.  But I digress.  Back to the show.  He talked alot about making music, how it made him feel, how he was so excited to be on this tour and have a chance to "do it for the music".  He played "Alone I Break" and explained how he picked up an acoustic guitar and wrote that song and how it was the first time he ever done that.  Before "Hold On" and talked about how he almost got his nuts ripped off when they were shooting the video.  He covered "Blue Monday" by New Order and "Love on the Rocks" by Neil Diamond.  They also played a song from the "Queen of the Dammed" Soundtrack that never made it into the movie.  Then he talked...he talked for 15 minutes, thanking everyone, expressing his joy for being able to play in this tour and said he would for sure do it again.  Then he did something that suprised me..he talked about his favorite band  -  Duran Duran! I was not expecting that, but was jumping up and down when I heard it!  Hungry like the Wolf, baby!  I've never seen Jonathan in that way....He was smiling, excited, happy!  Joking with the crowd and the members in the band.

So if you haven't gotten a clear picture yet.  This was by far the best show I have ever seen in my life.  If you missed out on a chance to see this show, I truely feel sorry for you:)  If he goes back out on a solo tour and you do not go to the show....I will crush you.  I'm for sure going to be there, front row yelling the words to "Forsaken" and "Redeemer" as loud as I can!
