The new Metallica CD came out on Friday, and it kicks ass! Not as much as this version of Enter Sandman, though 😉

Some asshole went to turn himself in to the police in Hopatcong, New Jersey, sporting a full bunny suit and blowing an airhorn.  Kevin Hemmerich, 28,  had a warrant out for his arrest for failure to complete 12 days worth of work with the Sheriff’s Labor Assistance Program. Kevin Hemmerich received the sentence in lieu of jail time for a failure to have auto insurance in connection with a motor vehicle crash. Well, the cops didn’t like his antics so much, and one cop ended up slapping Kevin, and now the cops are being investigated cuz Kevin’s brother was recording the whole damn thing.

Heartland Farm Sanctuary in Verona held their Thanksgiving for Turkeys over the weekend. The turkeys were the guests of honor and were treated to a meal of cranberries, squash, sweet potatoes and vegetables.  Event attendees were able to sponsor a bird with donations, which will go toward the birds’ care. The sanctuary is currently home to more than 60 animals.  Seriously, love that place.  It’s not just for animals either, they really help a lot of people with varying degrees of emotional and mental illnesses. Check ’em out here.

A guy in South Georgia still doesn’t know who won the election. LOL. I’m almost kind of jealous. “I was invited to an election party to stay up into the night with everybody gnawing their nails, hanging on and I thought, oh there has to be a better way,” said Joe Chandler. He decided to stay home and go to bed without finding out who won. He intended to find out who won in the morning but felt so peaceful he thought he’d go until the afternoon before finding out.  Chandler said he does not know how much longer he can hang on and might be ready to find out next week.  LOL.  Good luck, old man.

A mystery donor in Philadelphia has gathered enough food to feed 150 families for Thanksgiving this year, including 3,000 pounds of turkey.  If you want to help out local families with their holiday meals, or any meal, any time of the year, check out Second Harvest Food Bank.
