Shinedown locks down another No. 1, The Warning keeps its heat, and a few fresh tracks hit the lane right now.

Active rock’s got fresh smoke on it this week. Shinedown is sitting on top again, The Warning keeps burning strong, and a couple of brand-new singles are already knocking on the door as we roll into mid-September.

On the charts

Shinedown grabs another big week with “Young Again,” hitting No. 1 on the Mediabase Active Rock chart. That gives the band its 26th chart-topper in the format, and that kind of run still matters when a song starts showing up everywhere at once.

The Warning is still very much in the conversation after “Kerosene” climbed to No. 1 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart dated September 5. That track keeps real momentum behind it, and it still feels like one listeners are hearing and asking about right now.

New today

Spiritbox just dropped “Mourning,” and it lands with that immediate jolt you want from a fresh active rock single. It’s a surprise release, but it does not sound like a throwaway move. It sounds built to get tested fast.

Saosin also rolls in with “Just Be Honest,” released September 12. It hits with enough weight and melody to fit the lane without forcing it, and it feels like one of those records programmers will keep an ear on this week.

Just added

Nonpoint stays on the board with “Is It,” which already made noise as a most-added track and has pushed its way into the Mediabase Active Rock Top 50. With The Last Word due September 18, that single keeps doing exactly what you want a lead track to do: show up early and keep gaining ground.

Album drops

Friday, September 11 brought another round of heavy new releases, including new sets from CoreLeoni and The Damn Truth. For stations leaning harder into guitar-forward new music, this weekend gives you fresh ground to work with.

And don’t forget the September 4 stack still hanging in the air. Airbourne’s self-titled album is one of the recent releases still feeding the current rock conversation as stations tighten up what sticks.

Coming up

Next Friday, September 18, lines up as one to watch with Nonpoint’s The Last Word on deck. If “Is It” keeps climbing through the week, that release could hit right as the band’s momentum gets louder on the air.
