Experience the magic of the season with Dance Wisconsin’s dazzling production of The Nutcracker, Madison’s only local performance featuring local dancers, a live orchestra and enchanting vocals.

Now in its 48th year, this holiday favorite brings together over eighty talented performers from across South Central Wisconsin, the Dance Wisconsin Orchestra, and the beautiful voices of the Monona Grove High School Singers; all on one unforgettable stage.

Join Clara as she receives a magical Nutcracker from the mysterious Herr Drosselmeyer at her family’s festive holiday party. Be swept away as toys come to life, the Nutcracker battles the fearsome Mouse King, and Clara is transported to a shimmering land of snow and the sweet wonders of Candyland.

From the graceful Snow Queen and her swirling snowflakes to the dazzling Sugar Plum Fairy and her noble Cavalier, The Nutcracker is a feast for the senses that captures the spirit of the holidays like no other.
